The Surendranagar Janmashtami fair has encountered a major hurdle due to the new SOP issued by the district collector. The auction process for the fair’s rides, including Ferris wheels and other attractions, has faced significant opposition from organizers and traders. Many have expressed concerns that the stringent SOP, which includes mandatory RCC structures for rides, is impractical. As a result, the auction planned for Tuesday has been postponed, with organizers threatening to cancel the fair if the SOP isn’t revised. Despite discussions with the state government, no positive outcome has been reached, leaving the fate of the fair uncertain.
સુરેન્દ્રનગર જન્માષ્ટમી મેળામાં કલેક્ટર દ્વારા બહાર પાડવામાં આવેલી નવી SOPને કારણે હરાજીની પ્રક્રિયા ખોરવાઈ છે. આ SOPમાં કડક નિયમો મૂકાતા આયોજકો અને વેપારીઓએ તેનો વિરોધ કર્યો છે. આયોજકોએ ચિમકી ઉચ્ચારી છે કે જો SOPમાં ફેરફાર ન કરવામાં આવે તો મેળો યોજવામાં નહીં આવે. રાઈડ્સ માટે RCC સ્ટ્રક્ચર સહિતના નિયમોને લઈને રોષ ઉભો થયો છે. હવે મંગળવારે યોજાનાર હરાજી માટેની બેઠકમાં નિર્ણય લેવાશે. જો સરકાર સમયસર SOP દૂર ન કરશે, તો આ વર્ષે મેળો યોજાવાનો સંજોગ નહિ રહે તેમ આયોજકો જણાવી રહ્યા છે.
