New Delhi, April 15, 2024: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) organized a significant national workshop in New Delhi focusing on sustainable National Highway development. The event, graced by esteemed guests including Shri Anurag Jain from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, emphasized the importance of eco-friendly measures and collaborative strategies for a holistic approach to highway infrastructure.
The workshop featured panel discussions with senior officials and industry experts, addressing critical topics such as Wildlife Clearances, Eco-friendly Measures for Wildlife Impact Mitigation, Forest & Environment Clearances, Environmental Impact Assessment, Coastal Regulation Zone Clearances, and more. These discussions provided invaluable insights into developing environmentally sustainable road infrastructure.
In his address, Shri Anurag Jain highlighted the need for collaborative efforts and the utilization of frameworks like PM Gati Shakti for efficient and sustainable highway development. Guest of Honour Shri Jitendra Kumar emphasized expediting planning processes and integrating sustainable practices into infrastructure projects.
NHAI Chairman Shri Santosh Kumar Yadav reaffirmed NHAI’s commitment to sustainable highway development, stressing the importance of stakeholder collaboration from project inception.
