IIT Madras commences Music Research Center
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has started a course in the Music Research Centre to unite engineering and art, and, encourage students to participate in a variety of programs additional to engineering. The Padma Vibhushan maestro, Isai Gnani Ilaiya Raaja, gave the opening remarks at the event, and, signed an M.O.U. in this regard. More than 1 thousand 3 hundred students from all over India were present. It will feature 70 performances and 33 workshops in classical music, dance, yoga, and, craft.
