Bhavnagar Forest Department Team Catches Youth with Protected Sea Plants | Grahak Chetna

The Bhavnagar Forest Department team has apprehended a young man from the Soni community with a stash of protected sea plants, classified as Schedule-I under the Wildlife Protection Act. During an investigation by the Ahmedabad Forest Department, the detained individual revealed the name of Brijesh Hareshbhai Kukadiya, who owns Bhagwati Jewelers in Bhavnagar. Upon inspection, the Bhavnagar team discovered five such plants at the jeweler’s store. The seized plants have been confiscated, and the accused is being questioned under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
