No respite from heatwave in North India for next 4 days
The India Meteorological Department issued a red-alert for a severe heatwave over the plains of north-western India, northern Madhya Pradesh, and, Gujarat for next three days. The weather department forecast a gradual rise of about 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, over parts of north-western and central India for next four days.
On Monday, the maximum temperatures were in the range of 43 to 47 degrees Celsius over northern and western India.
