Five days maiden National Chess Championship concaludes at J&K\’s Bhadarwah

Bhadarwah June 26 : 5 days National Level AICF smart girl FIDE ( Fédération Internationale des Échecs) rating championship cocaludes at J&K\’s Bhadarwah.

56 girls from 11 states participated in 5 days maiden tournament played in Chenab rejion, which is being looked as to boost sports tourism beside promote mental sports especially among girls
International Chess player and Bal Purskar Awardee, Aarushi Kotwal who is a native of Bhadarwah was the mentor of the tournament.

DC Doda Harvinder Singh who was the chief guest during the prize distribution ceremony said that this tournament is a major milestone to attract sports persons from across the globe and will also act as catalyst to promote sports among girls.

He further said that district administration will go all out to make Bhadarwah hub of Chess and for this, Arushi can play a pivotal role.
